Tom Bichard MBPsS – Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Tom is an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist who specialises in anxiety and relationship issues. He received comprehensive training in psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural methods of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and, can tailor approaches to suit individual needs. He has worked in the NHS, private and charity sectors, beginning around 9 years ago working with people at risk of suicide. Tom also has experience using a Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy model, which considers individual’s core ways of
responding and reacting to significant others, facilitating new or pre-existing ways to relate. He is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and Divisional Member of the Division of Counselling Psychology.
How I Work
Tom provides short-term therapy for a specific issue, and longer-term work to explore experiences in depth. Issues which support can be provided for include:
- Low self-esteem
- Difficulties socialising
- Anger & rage
- Emotional instability
£50-£70 per 50-minute session. Some concessions are available for those without employment or on a low income.
